Our Little Evansville Getaway

Last weekend, we got to squeeze in a little extra family with a trip to Evansville to spend time at my parents house.  Two thumbs up for Allegiant Airlines and their affordable rates on direct flights from Orlando to Owensboro...

...we got to soak up some fantastically fun entertainment with my parents and sisters in the land of snow...

A huge thanks also to the Deyo family for letting us borrow awesome snow gear that kept us warm and dry for hours of fun.

While in Evansville, we also hit up the newly remodeled museum which was quite entertaining...

Next time, we'll be sure to leave time for the planetarium.  It looks cool!

We made sure we didn't miss out on the Lowe's Build and Grow project while we were there too...

....as you can see, we take our building VERY seriously.  Haha!  Mason was actually quite upset with me that we were not making a car but rather a Valentine basket instead.  Good think Mimsy soothed his sorrow by purchasing another manly kit for him to make with Grandpa.  It was fun to have Mimsy and Aunt Leah there to get in on the fun.

Of course we got in lots of quality time with Grandpa and Aunt Abigail too...

Before we knew it, it was time to head back home to sunny Florida.  The boys are becoming quite the seasoned travelers.  They made themselves at home in the airport...

...did the whole thing stroller-free...

...did great on the plane...

...and I even got to read while they watched a movie.  It was glorious!!  My latest book has been a page-turner by the way...

...I'm anxious to see how it ends up.  I love historical fiction.  Check it out if you do too.

Now it's back to reality doing our usual thing.  We had story time at Blue Door where the featured stories were...

...tis the season, right???  Of course the boys made themselves at home afterwards...

...they think they own the place, rearranging furniture to suit themselves...haha!

Today kicked off with some P90X3 yoga with my man...

...I had to do some catching up yesterday after a couple days off for vacation so after yesterday's double workout, yoga was just what the doctor ordered.  Still working on loving it...maybe one day...

We also did the Annie's organic produce thing...

...and also hit up Publix.  It feels good to have healthy food in the house again.  It also feels good to be warm again.  The cold was fun but I sure am glad we get to live in such a fantastic climate zone.

Now counting down the days til all the other fun Hosmon festivities that await us this summer and next winter.  Woohoo!!
