Halloween Fun

I can't believe it's November already.  Where has the time gone??  Silly question, I know, since we seem to be running on full speed around here these days.  Wednesday was filled some fun at MOPS where the boys were totally into the pumpkin lesson...

...lots of produce...

....and a fun night at Story Time where we found this fun hat to play with...

...Mason took his first selfie.  Cute, huh??

The featured stories were...

 and

...tis the season :-)

We finished up our night with a little pumpkin carving...

...a great time was had by all.  Here's the finished products...

...didn't try to win any contests this year, just tried to avoid any trips to the ER with twin toddlers.  It was a success.

After tremendous anticipation, we finally made it to Halloween and I dare say, we had the best looking pirates I've ever seen...

In true multitasking form, I took the boys on a little run to visit Mickey's office, Blue Door, and the Y in costume...

...not a bad way to log 8 miles, huh??

We had so much fun all day long that  by the time it was actually time to go trick or treating, I think they were over it...lol.

We're a pretty good looking crew, I'd say :-)  Too bad Mickey didn't make the shot...

...these two are his spitting image so you get the idea though, right??  haha...

We spent our evening at a friend's party where our contributions to dinner included these lovely treats...

(a meat (ham) head and mummy toasts)

After a quick bite there, we all headed out for some trick or treating...

The boys really got into it this year and had fun collecting booty.  They're so cute.  I actually think they enjoyed everyones decorations more than the candy...silly boys....always taking it all in.  Love them!  It was a fun night!  Hope your Halloween was spooktacular as well.

We Survived!

The last few days, most of our free time has revolved around prepping for today's yard sale.  Thankfully, it was a success, it's over, and we lived to tell about.  Thankfully, most of this stuff sold, and what didn't sell was immediately delivered to goodwill...

Yikes, right???!!!  Hopefully we don't accumulate enough stuff that we have to have another sale for a loooooooong time.  We really don't enjoy any of it...but might jump on the yard-sale bandwagon since people got some real steals from us.  Maybe we'll hit up Jupiter one weekend...

Despite the looming sale all week long, we did manage to sneak in a little fun too throughout the last couple of days, which I'm sure had a large impact on that fact that we're all still smiling this afternoon...

It's Family Place time at the library again, and you all know we love it there...

We've been working on our pincher grasp with this fun activity thanks to some tips we got at music class...

...just use tongs to pick up pom poms and sort them into ice cube trays...

We're thinking they'd like loading up the dump truck with the pebbles from the driveway using their tongs next.  :-)

We got FANTASTIC Halloween cards from Aunt Sheryl that included pirate hats...

...the boys were in HEAVEN!!

In going through all our stuff, we found Mickey's old matchbox cars...

...soooo cool to be able to play with Daddy's old toys.  Now to keep from losing them....

I managed to get my early morning workouts in every day last week.  I think it's almost a habit.  :-)  Those workouts included some great runs with my running buddy...

...I'm loving the slow, easy, chat-filled runs.  They definitely make life better.

The boys completed their first coloring contest at the Fresh Market...

...I'm pretty sure we've got some winners on our hands, don't you??  Love their style!

The boys also got their first sailing lesson at a little birthday party on a friend's sailboat...

...Gotta start 'em young, right??  They loved every second of being on that boat!  And check out the Hunter's Moon we got to enjoy as well...

...it was BREATHTAKING coming up over the horizon!  This picture doesn't even do it justice.

Now that the yard sale over, the rest of the weekend is dedicated to relaxation and family time.  We're continuing our Saturday nap time tradition this week with a movie on the couch...

...Saturday afternoon movies might become a habit too.  Fine by me...

Gotta think of a fun place to think of for dinner.  We deserve a little post-yard sale treat, don't you think??

Happy Weekend!!

Life In Plankerville

Despite our runny noses and the cold that's being passed around from one person to the next, we've still managed to have a lot of fun here in Plankerville.  Here's glimpse into what we've been up to the last couple of days...

We did a little more Halloween decorating thanks to some goodies from Grandpa...

We treated ourselves to some Panera goodies after our trip to the dr. for the flu shot.

We hit up the park for some fresh air and sunshine...

We took our first stab at using scissors...

We juiced...no wonder pomegranate juice is soooo expensive.  It took 4 pomegranates to get less than 5 oz of juice...

We went to Lowe's for our monthly building project...

The boys LOVE exploring that store with Daddy...

It's hard to get a picture of both of them together...

...so I settled for individual shots...

Someone was feeling pretty proud...

We also added to our Halloween costume supplies.  Now we've got boots and eye patches...

I see lots of rest and vitamins in our future as we try to help this bug to hit the road.  Time to snuggle up on the couch and watch a move with my man while the boys nap...

Happy weekend!!!
